Punta Veleno
Punta Veleno, more difficult than Zoncolan and Mortirolo. The 2012 Giro del Trentino, scheduled in April, will for the first time in a professional race feature the Punta Veleno (Poison Point) ascent, rated one of the toughest climbs in Europe. It was first considered for inclusion in a stage for the Giro d'Italia in 1972 by Vincenzo Torriani, director of the Giro d'Italia from 1949 to 1989, but after visiting it he decided it was too hard. The 8 km climb begins near Lake Garda in Castello di Brenzone, between Bardolino and Malcesine. Steep sections can be from 15% to 18%, and even more than 20%. Gilberto Simoni, two tours of Italy won, said "This Veleno is harder than the Zoncolan. Breath will not grant a mountain bike gear is necessary to climb. "Cunego also looks at Punta Veleno said with fear: "I went to see it: it is really a killer climb.'re Right who called it the most severe of the Zoncolan."
Before addressing Punta Veleno, running along Lake Garda offering stunning views. After the terrible ascent of Punta Veleno you go down to Prada and Zan Zeno surrounded by the intense green of meadows and woods. Let's go up to Lumini then dropped to Caprino Veronese. We face the final climb to Spiazzi and conclude the race in the town famous for the Sanctuary Madonna della Corona. The Sanctuary Madonna della Corona is one of the most picturesque locations in northern Italy at Mt. 774 the sea, overlooking the Adige valley. Is called "the Crown", because in ancient times was called "the Crown", due to the crown of the mountains that surround it. It's built on a narrow clearing natural that is located in the protruding part and partly hollowed out of a wall of rock raw-to-peak, and which stands erect on the abyss for about 400 meters. On the sides are two humps of mountains, which reach forward to a good stretch forward now rocky, tree-lined hours, constituting a 'huge natural amphitheater. By means of this dirupa rock wall is a church that seems to cling to the rock like an eagle's nest.

The video is of good quality, although not as good throughout as the other BikeLab Videos I have bought. (But maybe it was my vision blurring on the brutal climb !!)
A ride of interesting sections, the lovely flat and scenic lake shore start, the relentless climb to amazing mountain pastures via a precipitous and exposed track. Enjoyable and interesting allowing the minor quality niggles and smoothing of a few elevation changes to be forgiven...
