Col de Marie-Blanque par Escot
A scenic road borrowed many times by the Tour de France, the Col de Marie Blanque will often tempt many cyclists visiting the Pyrenees. But there's a difference: it's much steeper than the average of the Pyrenean hills.
Our ride starts at Col de Labays, the first part is an easy downhill. Then we climb to the Col de Bouesou with slopes not binding. Still descent to Bedous and from here we go to a flat stretch up to Escot. A sign indicates the start of the Col de Marie-Blanque. We ride along the valley Barescou, the road climbs a bit but smoothly until we find the signal of a campsite. From here the road kicks up and continues for over three kilometers on a long stretch lined with few curves. A hairpin signals the final ramp and then the road arrives on the Plateau de Benou. Very nice the descent especially when we arrive to the Plateau du Benou. We finally ends our course in Bielle.
