Col de la Lombarde

Saint Etienne de Tinee is the starting point of this video. We skirt the Tinee in the easy stretch of road that leads to Island. After the town of Isola begin to climb in the direction of Isola 2000. The climb through the narrow valley is very challenging.
Close to Isola 2000, the landscape opens showing the beauty of the ski resort. After 2000 the island vegetation disappears and we reach the Italian-French border to the Col de la Lombarde. A magnificent landscape accompanies us for a long stretch of the descent. After about ten kilometers we turn left in the direction of Sant'Anna di Vinadio. The road starts to climb for about 3.5 kilometers, we overcome the Shrine of St. Anna (2035mt, the highest in Europe) and reach the "Masso dell'Apparizione." Our hard work is almost complete, In the final stretch down we can cool-down the muscles.
