The Venice Lagoon
Fantastic videorace made in the Venice lagoon. We start from Jesolo and follow the dirt road along the banks of the Sile. Then we cycle on the beautiful bike path until Cavallino Treporti. Entering the valley Saccagnana, we overcome the small rural court of Prà. Beyond this picturesque barnyard, that time seems to have tarnished in any way, the road that runs along the banks become increasingly narrow strip in the middle of the landscape of the lagoon that separates sharply the brackish areas of saltmarsh.
By placing in this landscape, which gradually becomes more impressive, it seems to glide on the water, with the same elegance and delicacy of many inhabitants of the lagoon that we meet: egrets, cormorants, herons. At the junction turn towards Le Mesole, we pass the courtyard of an historic villa, also known as the "Convent of Le Mesole". We return to the junction and turn right towards Lio Piccolo. Along the way escapes the gaze towards the fascinating horizons offered by the luminous lagoon landscape opens suddenly, leaving see in the distance the silhouettes of the nearby islands of Burano and Torcello. After a while, where the sandbank widens, appears the tiny Renaissance village of Lio Piccolo, a timeless place, with its seventeenth-century church, the square overlooked by a few houses almost all uninhabited and the Palace Boldù (seventeenth century). Here begins the most striking part of the path, a single track suspended over the water that brings us back to Lio Piccolo. Let's go back to Treporti and reach Punta Sabbioni where we skirt the immense construction site of Mose. We continue to Cavallino where we conclude our run on the beach.
