Plateau de Beille

Video starts from Luzenac, with the first kilometers so easy, until we get to Les Cabannes.
The climb is steep with little shade and is the race finish for local cycling competitions, the ariegeoise cyclosportif as well as Tour stages.
The Plateau de Beille ascend is 15.8 km long, with its highest point at 1790 m.
Sometimes compared to Alpe d’Huez – it has very similar statistics, it has only appeared in the Tour de France four times – but every time the stage winner has gone on to win the Tour.
